Welcome to Mother Nature's Cupboard, a hidden gem nestled in the bustling French Market of New Orleans. This vibrant café is the perfect spot for those seeking an authentic taste of local Cajun and Creole cuisine. As you step in, you'll immediately feel the warm and inviting atmosphere, complemented by the bustling sounds of the market and the tantalizing aromas wafting from the kitchen.

The café's menu is a delightful journey through the flavors of Louisiana, featuring an array of appetizers and platters that celebrate the region's culinary heritage. Start your meal with the standout Crawfish Bread—a delectable blend of seasoned crawfish and gooey cheese enveloped in warm, crusty bread that's just begging to be dipped into the accompanying homemade sauces. The Boudin Balls are another crowd favorite, perfectly crispy on the outside and bursting with spicy flavor inside.

If you're in the mood for something a little different, don't miss out on the Coconut Shrimp, which pairs a crunchy texture with a subtle sweetness that transports your tastebuds to a tropical paradise. And for those looking to indulge their adventurous side, the Frog Legs offer a unique experience, often described as tasting like chicken but with a delightful twist of Southern seasoning.

For your main course, the café’s Crabcake Sandwich is a must-try. Packed with tender crab meat and spices, each bite is a celebration of the Gulf’s freshest catch. If you’re leaning towards something hearty, the Pulled Pork Sandwich will not disappoint, featuring succulent, slow-cooked meat slathered in tangy BBQ sauce.

Their Shrimp po'boy is so good and hefty, that I got to post about it here in the reviews section. Prices are great here, and food is delicious! To the reviews that say that the people there are rude, you have yet to converse them. They probably closed themselves to you because you put up a wall in front of them. I joked with the cashier a bit, and she seemed like a nice person.

Ordered Gator Bites for $14 - came with a cajun dipping sauce. My husband enjoyed them and said they kind of taste like chicken!

This place is amazing! We've been looking forward to it and we hear they haven't been serving food lately. What's up? It's THE BEST food we ate in New Orleans. I hope they start serving food again soon

This place is inside the French Market in the French Quarters. I go here every time whenever I'm in NOLA. I get the gator bites. Everything on the menu is great.
